Back to School Pictures - Nielsen Kids

Nate came home for the weekend and we had the opportunity to take some back to school pictures for the Nielsen Family. Susan, the mom, got sick of overpaying for school pictures so we took there "school" pictures instead. It helps that all of her kids are photogenic and have the most amazing eyes.

Side note: There are more pictures that go with the last three posts but I am having problems with the Picasa web uploader, so the full albums are not posted yet, but they will be soon!

Steed Family Pictures

Cute kids definitely run in this family! It was cold, windy and had just finished raining. Their little boy was such a good sport about everything and we were able to get some awesome pictures in spite of the weather.

Knowles Wedding and Computer Update

My computer is fixed! It turned out to be a simple fix of a problem that was caused by a battery that didn't fit right. I was so relieved that it was so simple and have determined that I have an unhealthy attachment to my computer! I really shed tears over this problem and think I better get a second computer so that this never happens again.

Okay, back to business. Here are some pictures from the Knowles wedding. I am still trying to figure out how to post them larger, but enjoy them anyway. Jared and Emily were SO IN LOVE it was cute to watch. I am so glad that I was able to take their pictures for them!

The sadest day of my life...well almost

Today is one of the saddest days of my life. My computer, my lovely beautiful, always-reliable computer has had a brush with death. The track pad mouse is stuck down. It has to be one of the most annoying problems imaginable. I was up until 4:00AM trying to edit pictures! 4:00AM!!! I am tired and emotional and thinking about my computer not working makes me want to break down. The worst part about this seemingly simple problem is that there is no one in Idaho Falls who is an authorize repair service for Apple. The nearest one is in Haily, ID (Can you believe that Haily has one and we do not?!). So, I am having the local store check it out (which I have to pay for, stupid, even though it is under warranty) to see if they can get it working enough for me to get all of the pictures done that I need to. I can't even get things on or off my computer because of the stupid mouse. (I am having to use my sister's PC, tear.)

Sorry to go on and on, but this computer is like a first car to me. There is so much sentimental value and love there. I know it sounds stupid, but this computer made it possible for me to do something that I truly LOVE and has blessed our family in so many ways. So, say a prayer for our little computer and pray that she makes it through this. I will keep you updated on her recovery.

Sasha and Jake's Wedding Day

It has been one crazy week! I spent the week at a family reunion with the girls. It was actually for Nate's side of the family but he was unable to attend. Nate left for his first of ten weeks he will be away for training for work. He is only able to make it home for weekends so it has been great to spend this weekend with him. I tried to get these pictures up before Nate came home for the weekend, but after a LOT of problems with my computer and Internet, here are the majority of the pictures. I am still experiencing some technical difficulties, which will be worked out soon (cross your fingers). I posted more pictures in the post then normal, enjoy!

Mad Dash

I was on a mad dash before Kenna arrived to get all of our pictures done that I knew I would not be interested in doing once she was here. I was able to get Jana's pictures posted while I was in labor waiting for the baby, as well as making last minute changes to Sasha's and Jake's signature book and start the invitation design for Emily and Jared. I think the nurses and my doctor thought I was crazy, but I absolutely love the newborn baby stage and I didn't want to miss a minute of it worrying about pictures.

It has now been a little over a week since Kenna was born and I have finished the Rawlings family photo shoot edits. I took their pictures two days before Kenna's birthday and gave them all the warning that I probably would not get their pictures posted until after, but here they are now! (to the right)

Sasha's and Jake's wedding day is quickly approaching. We took Sasha's bridal pictures last night and had the opportunity to take one of our friends along who wanted to see how we do our shoots. Sasha, of course, looked amazing and made our job look way too easy! We were able to take many great pictures of her. My favorite picture from the night is the one posted above and a very close second is the album cover picture (to the left). Jana

Jana is a very talented artist that is painting a huge backdrop for us! We had the opportunity to take some photos for her. She was fun to work with and came with lots of ideas for the two day shoot.

Jared & Emily

With all the rain that we have been blessed with lately, it has really put me behind on photography. It is going to be a close race between me getting all of the pictures done that need finished and having the baby.

Jared and Emily are getting married in August and it is easy to tell that they are in love. They have only really been able to see each other on the weekends which made getting them to smile very easy. They were all smiles!!!

Travis William

Travis is the new arrival in the Patterson family. As I said in a few posts back, I am taking newborn pictures as baby shower gifts. There is an announcement that goes with this post that I will add either tonight or tomorrow.

Alora

This is one of my favorite because it shows the gold flecks in her eyes!

Alora is my niece and because of that I have been putting her pictures on the back burner. I am sure that her mom has been going crazy waiting for these pictures that we took the beginning of May! Now that things have slowed down a little, I have had a little time to get the family stuff done. Enjoy!

Lydia

I have started giving portrait sittings as baby shower gifts. It is a win win for me. I get to see the cute little new babies and I get to practice taking better shots of newborns.

This is a picture of baby Lydia, my cousin's baby. She is just so stinking cute. I am not done editing all of the pictures (I may be having a little too much fun with the editing), but here is one of my favorite that I have edited so far. Let me know what you think! Sorry there are not more Rachel, but maybe by tomorrow.

Steed Family Photos

I am stepping into dangerous territory by saying this, but Thomas, the little boy in this family photo shoot, was the cutest nine-month-old boy I have every taken pictures of. (I tried to make it narrow enough not to offend anyone, but just see for yourself!)

Nate and I had such an easy time taking pictures for this family. Usually when working with children this young it can get...interesting. However, Thomas would smile and hold it for the camera. It was pretty impressive. These two should definitely have more kids!!!

New Logo

Okay, so I am really sick of our old logo and our website and I am about to give this blog an overhaul as well! Anyway, I need input on the logo that I just added as the title picture. If you hate it, be honest! I really need feedback. This way I might actually get some people to comment.

Dalan's Senior Pictures

(This has been a crazy busy couple of weeks. Over three days we took engagement, senior, family and infant pictures. It has been fun, but crazy!)

Dalan was pretty easy to work with. He had no problems smiling for the camera and keeping it natural looking! It made the shoot quick and painless, at least for us. Since he is graduating next week, we had to rush to get these edited and ready for printing. However, our computer does not understand hurry right now. It is so full of pictures that I am working on right now that it is running SO slow! Hopefully it will speed up once I get some of these shoots transferred to our external hard drive!

Sasha and Jake

Last month Nate and I were looking through all of our past pictures and we agreed that we have been so lucky with all the attractive people that we have taken pictures for. Nate said that we probably would not continue on our lucky streak. Then along came Sasha and Jake and proved Nate wrong! Yet again, here is another attractive couple that we had the pleasure of taking pictures of!
